LOS ÁNGELES. – Los Dodgers de Los Ángeles sellaron su pase a la Serie de Campeonato de la Liga Nacional (NLCS) tras vencer 2-1 en entradas extras a los Filis de Filadelfia, aprovechando un error descontrolado del relevista Orion Kerkering en la undécima entrada. Con esta victoria, los angelinos avanzan por cuarta vez en la década a la antesala de la Serie Mundial.
El momento decisivo llegó con las bases llenas y dos outs, cuando Andy Pages conectó un roletazo que parecía inofensivo. Sin embargo, el tiro de Kerkering al plato se fue desviado, permitiendo que la carrera de la victoria cruzara el home y desatara la celebración en el Dodger Stadium.
