Santo Domingo: EL Senado de la República Dominicana tomó decisiones importantes este miércoles al conformar una comisión especial encargada de revisar los expedientes y entrevistar a los aspirantes que integrarán la nueva Junta Central Electoral (JCE) para el período 2024-2028. La comisión, liderada por el senador Julito Fulcar, está compuesta por otros ocho miembros, incluidos Antonio Taveras como vicepresidente, y los senadores Pedro Catrain, Félix Bautista, entre otros. Aunque otros legisladores podrán participar en el proceso de evaluación, lo harán solo con derecho a voz, pero sin voto.
En otra línea, se aprobó una modificación urgente a la Ley 589-16, que regula la Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional en el país. La reforma otorga facultades especiales al presidente de la República para tomar decisiones estratégicas sobre productos sensibles, en aras de proteger los intereses nacionales. Además, se introducen recomendaciones sobre aspectos productivos, comerciales, laborales y sociales en relación con esos productos.
Finalmente, el Senado aprobó una ley que regula el turismo náutico y de recreo. Este proyecto, propuesto por los senadores Alexis Victoria y Ginnette Bournigal, busca fomentar esta actividad mediante la regulación de la navegación en embarcaciones recreativas, comerciales y deportivas, estableciendo normativas sobre su matriculación, construcción y reparación en aguas bajo jurisdicción nacional.

I was browsing sumandoxmas.com earlier and noticed it’s loading slowly on mobile — particularly when on a mobile data connection. It looks like the issue is heavy backend scripts and unoptimised assets rather than anything to do with your design.
